  • We recommend travel by train from Oslo Central Station to Gjøvik Station. It’s about a 2 hour travel north and tickets can be booked through Vy.

The closest airport to Gjøvik is Oslo Airport (OSL). From there, you can use either Vy or the Airport Express Train (Flytoget) to Oslo Central Station. From there you can travel by train to Gjøvik.

You can also get there by car. Follow National Road 4 (Rv 4) north from Oslo or south from Lillehammer. The address is Vestre Toten veg 513, 2817 Gjøvik. Please note that there is limited parking.

Read more about transport and parking.

  • Speidernes landsleir 2025 is cashless. Because many of the youngest scouts do not have bank cards, we have chosen to use payment bracelets. This can be topped up in advance and during the camp with any amount. The bracelet also serves as proof of participation. All points of sale accept payment bracelets and bank cards.

Return of money on the bracelet
All balances over 9 NOK will be returned to the user by the end of September, unless the user chooses to donate the excess to the camp. 9 NOK will be held back to cover fees for use and return.

Top up money on the bracelet
You can top up your camp bracelet online.

    The technology
The payment bracelet is based on NFC technology (Near Field Communication). These are radio waves that transmit data between devices over very short distances. There is no tracking of the bracelets or connection to personal data, which means that we cannot tell where a lost bracelet is. When recharging the bracelet, the name, group and mobile number are registered (to make charging cards easier for guardians). Other personal information is not linked to the bracelet.

    Colors
We have camp bracelets in two different colors, with two different locks.
Blue band with black lock: Scouts, leaders and rover who will stay in the group without consent for photos in the registration in min.scouting. Failure to update the photo acceptance field automatically results in a black lock.
Blue band with green lock: Scouts, leaders and rover who will stay in the group with consent for photos in the registration in min.scouting.
Red band with green lock: Rovers who will stay in rover camp with registered dietary needs or food intolerances.
Red band with black lock: Rovers who will stay in rover camp without registered diet or food intolerances.

Remember that the lock on the bands cannot be loosened. When putting it on, place 2-3 fingers under the band so it is not too tight.

  • The first aid tent should be used in cases where more support and expertise is needed than what the group can give to provide the right measures in the event of injury or illness.
In the event of serious incidents, an ambulance should be contacted directly. The camp's first aid should not delay vital treatment.
Many minor injuries can and should be resolved in the group. What is usually treated on weekend trips by the group, you are expected to arrange yourself at the camp. If you are unsure or think the Scout needs supervision by someone with more expertise, the first aid tent is the right place.

Bring enough first aid equipment for the number of participants you have. This list is designed for a group of 20 people in total. Remember that parents must approve the administration of medication.

  • Hygiene is an essential part of ensuring that everyone has a safe and enjoyable camp experience. Good hand hygiene, especially before meals and after using the toilet, is important to avoid infection. Remember that hand sanitizer does not wash away dirt and grime, only soap and water does. Hand sanitizer only works on clean, dry hands. We therefore ask that you remind participants of the importance of washing their hands thoroughly with soap and water regularly.

Food hygiene is also important. Make sure that all raw materials are handled correctly, and that all equipment used for cooking is clean.

We would also like to remind you that no one should wash themselves or brush their teeth at the water fountains, as these are only to be used to collect water.

  • Allergies
To make sure that we have food for everyone, it is very important that all food allergies and food intolerances are registered per scout upon registration.
This is to make sure that we can meet the food needs of all participants. We will do our utmost to ensure that everyone gets what they can eat. If you want to be sure that we meet the needs of your scouts, register in min.speiding upon registration.

    Delivery
The food delivery locations will have long opening hours from morning to evening. Food for breakfast, lunch and dinner will be based on self-service. Since we have long opening hours, you can pick up food when you need it. If you need refills, you can come several times for a meal.
For dinner, some items will be pre-packaged, while vegetables and other items will be self-service.
All groups will have access to a box in a refrigerated container for storing food that has been out in the camp area. It is each group's responsibility to keep the refrigerated container tidy.

    Early delivery
Groups that want food on Friday evening and Saturday morning can order this in min.speiding when registering for camp. We serve bread and cold cuts on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
This has an additional cost that will be invoiced together with the rest of the camp fee.
This means that they report this when registering. This will be automatically added to the invoice in the same way as logs and other additional equipment that is ordered in the registration.

  • Scouts
We plan that the Scouts will not need a phone to have a good experience at camp to the greatest extent possible. It is up to the Scout groups to determine mobile phone rules for their scout groups.
In some cases, it will be necessary for the Scouts to use the phone during activities, but the camp then plans that one phone per patrol will suffice. All patrols MUST bring a phone with them on the hike. During the patrol run, the patrols will also need a phone to carry out some of the tasks. At the peffkro (activity for all patrol leaders and all scouts at camp in grades 8-10), the Scouts need a phone for individual activities.

    Leaders
The camp will use an app to communicate news and messages to the groups.

    Rovers
Rovers will have access to the rover program and receive messages via the same country camp app as leaders. Rover camp shifts will be distributed via a different app, more info will come.

    Staff and Ants
Staff will have access to the program, and receive updates through the country camp app. Staff shifts and Ant shifts will be distributed through a separate app, more info to come.

  • At the information tent, a leader or rover can deliver the group’s charging box. The charging box must be clearly marked with the group name and the name/phone number of the contact person. Only power banks are delivered for charging. It is not possible to deliver phones, iPads, PCs or cameras for charging. The charging box can contain a maximum of 10 power banks.
The charging box must be delivered and collected during the information tent's opening hours, 10:00 -21:00. It will not be possible to collect the charging boxes outside of opening hours. All charging is done at your own responsibility and risk. The Scouts' National Camp does not take responsibility for damaged and/or lost items.
Rovers have the opportunity to charge in the rover cafe.

  • Scout: 3500 NOK
    Leader: 3500 NOK
    Rover: 3500 NOK
    Staff camp week: 2450 NOK

  • There’s lots to do! Getting around is easy. All public transportation itineraries can be found in the app Entur. We recommend arriving Norway early to explore the bustling city of Oslo, the Olympic activities at Lillehammer or maybe explore the mountains while taking the Bergen Railway Line!

You can also use the website Visit Norway to find places you want to see. Our partner Visit Østlandet has lots of recommendations for the region surrounding the camp.

  • The Norwegian Scouts mirror the United Nations sustainable goals. The camp will focus on three of the goals:

    10: Reduced inequalities
    12: Responsible consumption and production
    17: Partnership for the goals.

Sustainability is a natural part in every step of the planning, execution and final work connected to the camp.
In the words of Lord Baden Powell: “try to leave the world a little better than you found it.” The goal of the jamboree is therefore that we should work together towards a better future.

Camp program for scouts

Patrol Run
The Patrol Run is an exciting course with various stations that the patrol works together to solve, using creativity, cleverness, and team spirit. You'll get to tackle challenges and thought-provoking tasks—and, most importantly, have fun together.

Practical skills
Practical skills looks back in time, to an era when people had to make things themselves. Here, you'll use your practical skills to create something together. For those with a competitive streak, there will also be an opportunity to compete a bit with another patrol.

Market Day
Market Day will be the grand finale of the program! Together, the group will create an activity from the future that other scouts can come and try—everything from future-bingo to hover-football.

About the camp bases

The Camp has a large campsite—1 square kilometer, or the equivalent of 146 FIFA football fields! The areas where the groups will stay are divided into three bases. Everyone in the same base follows the same program rotation and goes on the hike on the same day. The bases are named after some of the brightest and most important stars in the sky.

For over 5,000 years, humans have observed the stars and used them to guide their way to new adventures! When conquistadors and Vikings set out to discover new lands, they used the stars for navigation

International rover at landsleir

Here is the information you need to have an amazing time as an international rover at landsleir!

  • Read the info email sent out to all international rovers here

  • Arrival: Arrival at camp is the same for Rovers and Rangers as for the rest of the participants. Rovers who arrive with their group will be taken to the same emission point as their group on camp. Rovers who arrive independently will be brought to the emission point that is the closest to where they are staying.

Rovers who are staying in the roveramp must get to the Rover camp check inn point from the emission point themselves (See check inn point). Rovers and Rangers who are staying with their group go with them to their campsite, and are checked inn by a leading in their group.

Brushing-corner: The Brushing-corner is a concept we encourage, where two or more people gather to brush their teeth, so that no one does so alone in the “dark”

City Rebus Race: This is an activity that happens in Gjøvik city center. There will be posts you need to find, to solve the rebus. Check the timetable in the Rover kiosk, the app or the website for the date and time. The first post will be located in the rover camp

Check in: Check in for rovers and rangers who live in the rovercamp will happen in the rover kiosk Friday 4th of July and Saturday 5th of july. Rover and Rangers who arrive on other days will have to check in at one of the service areas on camp.

The rovers and rangers who are staying with their group check in with them, and not in the Rover kiosk.

Campfires: There will be an opening ceremony and campfire the evening of the 5th of July and a closing ceremony and campfire the evening of the 11th of July.

Day activites: There will be separate activities made for Rovers and Ranger, including varius day drop-in activities, some sign up activities, a mjøsa-day and a Rover haik.

Departure: The Departure will consist of check out, and a check of the area (see “check out”)

The travel onwards is organized by the patrol members or the scoutgroup.

The Rovers and Rangers who travel with their scoutgroup must check out from the Rover camp in time to join their group before departure, wether it’s the day of departure, or sometime before. They are then responsible for getting themselves and their baggage to their scoutgroup.

First aid exercise: There will be a first aid activity for Rovers and Rangers. Here you can test your first aid skills in a pretend scenario. It will also be a possibility to attend playing a casualty. For those who want to be casualties, it is advised to attend the wound makeup lesson beforehand, to get ready there. The time for this activity can be found in the Rover Kiosk, the website and the app

Fire ban: There will be a complete fire ban in the Rover camp. All kinds of camping stoves, fires and other fire-sources will be banned, at all times, including haik

Firebreak: There will be streets between the different areas at the Rover Camp, so that should a fire break out, we can try to prevent it from spreading too fast. At no time should these be blocked.

Food: The Rovers who are staying at the Rover Camp will eat in the Staff canteen, so look forward to good food! Remember to pack eating gear, water bottle, thermos, and a cup.

The rovers who are staying with their group, will eat there, with them.

Hike: Hike (treck) is a wonderfull experience, where the rovers/rangers (and scouts), walk or paddle different routes of different difficulty levels. The haik will take place from thursday to friday, with a sleepover at a designated place along the route. The start time of the hike varies from route to route.

Informayion point: There will be a board in the Rover kiosk where information will be hung up. There will also be an information-tent in the main camp, where you can go, should you have any questions, but you might encounter a long wait time here.

Kebab: The best food at the camp, and it will only be served in the Rover Kiosk.

Mjøsaday: Wateractivites that take place outside of the camp, in Gjøvik city center. There will be busses that take you down there. Wear clothes that you have no problem with becoming wet, and which you can also move freely in. Time can be found in the Rover Kiosk, the website and app.

Maur (ants): Maur (or ants) is it’s own staff category only available for Rovers and Rangers. These will be divided in ant teams, which will work together to fix various problems that may appear at camp, and as such the tasks will vary from day to day.

Moments: Take the time to experience and remember the beautiful moments you encounter at camp. Whether it is a beautiful sunset, or a moment with old or new friends. While a picture may make the moment last a while, they’re always better to experience when you’re not behind a camera.

Night activites: There will not be any planned night activities on camp, however you yourself are free to have fun. After 23.00 there should be possible to sleep in the camp, and all the activities that take place must therefore have a muted noise level

Program: You can find the Rover-program here at our website, as well as it being available in the app, and in the Rover kiosk. Landsleir 2025 - Rover

In our staffing system you can yourself chose which tasks you want to sign up for, but most of them will operate on a first come, first serve princip, so it can be smart to do so early.

Roverseminar: Different seminars/workshops that will be held by different people/groups Monday 7th of July. There will e.g. be talk about Explorer belt and the rovercamp in 2026

Roverfres: A list with 27 different tasks you can do during camp. If the Fres is completed, you will get a designated badge for this. Task 1-5 must be completed as well as 11 of the remaining 22 tasks, to achieve this. In addition to the rover-fres there will be its own sustainability-fres that must be completed to get the sustainability badge

Rover Kiosk: The Rover camps best place to hang out, with a kiosk, food serving and a sofa corner. It is here you can find the camp's best food, kebab!

Recycling: There will be recycling containers by the Rover kiosk where you can dispose of garbage. This can (and is encouraged to) be done the entire camp, so that all trash is thrown, and as such can be recycled.

All garbagde will be sorted into 5 categories, plastic, paper, glass, food waste and residual waste. The Rover groups are responsible for having their own sorting system that is aligned with the camp’s. There will also be a place where batteries can be thrown. There will be signs that show the way, og marked on the camp map where the different wastes can be thrown.

Everything that is brought to camp, must either be thrown in the recycling containers, or be brought with you from camp.

Staff Canteen: The Staff Canteen will be open approximately the whole day, and will serve food whenever it is open. This is where all Rovers who sleep in the rover camp will eat their meals.

Tent: Each patrol has their own tents to sleep in. These must be as small as possible, while still fitting all the people in the patrol. The patrol must bring their own tents.

Theme (for the rovercamp): The theme for Speidernes Leir is “On an adventure!”, and the Rover camp has their own theme based on this; “Seafaring Adventurers!”. A theme day is planned, where Rovers and Rangers are encouraged to be “sea rovers and rangers”, and attend sea, and pirate related activities in the Rover kiosk. This day there will also be a costume competition, and a competition regarding signs with boat names on the tents. So bring your best costume, and imagination, cast the anchor, and have a splendid time!

WC: There will be toilets spread across the campsite, that will be open and accessible for use 24 hours of the day. They are marked as their own category on the camp map.

Wristband: The method that is used to pay on the campsite, as well as your proof of participation on the camp. For rovers, this will be necessary to show, to be able to get food.

X-tra fun: All the fun you make yourself. Remember that nothing is more fun than you make it to be!

ZZzzz (sleeping, quiet time): Quiet time is from 23.00-08.00. During this time, it should be possible to sleep for those who wish to, and the noise must therefore be kept at a minimum.

Let’s make it a night to remember – see you in costume!

  • Rovers staying in the Rover camp will eat in the staff dining hall.
You don’t need to bring any cooking gear.

Remember to pack a lunch box, cutlery, water bottle, thermos, and a cup for camp.
