What will you experience at Speidernes landsleir?

The camp opens and ends with a campfire at the main stage. During the camp all guides, scouts, rangers and rovers will join an overnight hike in the area surrounding the camp. The hikes will have a great variation in the level of difficulty and routes, and there will be options for every level of experience.

No one should be hungry at camp. Therefore the camp menu is developed to be both tasty, creative, and sustainable.

Everyone attending the camp will experience exciting and fun program activites. There will be a camp-kindergarten and program for scouts, rovers, and leaders.

When not attending a program activity, you can stroll through plaza, enjoy a coffe, make some new friends or watch the entertainment on the stage.

What is “Speidernes landsleir”?

The Norwegian national jamboree “Speidernes landsleir”, is held at Gjøvik 5.-12. July 2025. The camp is located in an idyllic area with a view towards Gjøvik city and Norways largest lake: Mjøsa. All guides and scouts in the age 10-15 and rangers ans rovers aged 16-25 are invinted to the camp as participants.

During the camp we will join lots of new and exciting scouting-adventures, such as hikes in the beautiful Innlandet-region, a camp menu full of culinary experiences, campfires with sing-alongs, and much more that belongs on a Norwegian national jamboree.

What about rovers?

There are lots of opportunities for rangers and rovers aged 16-25 at this camp!

Rovers at camp are invited to sleep in their own rover-area with other rovers from their group. The rover area will have its own program, a cafe, and great vibes. Rovers attending the camp with their group can choose to sleep in their group-area and still participate in the rover program and activities.

All Rovers will spend one night out in the wilderness in the area surrounding the camp, experiencing Norwegian nature first hand on a hike with their rover-group.

Rovers are a great recourse at camp. We will need your help some hours during the week to make the camp run smoothly.

Guides and Scouts from all over the world are invited to join the Norwegian national jamboree 2025!
- Guides and scouts aged 10-15 can attend as participants.
- Rovers and rangers aged 16-25 can attend the rover program.
- Rovers, rangers and scout leaders aget 16+ can attend as staff.
The pre-registration for groups is open between 19.09.2024 and 31.10.2024. More information and the link to registration can be found here.
The individual registration will open in the new year and close during the spring in 2025.
The price for guides, scouts, and rovers are 3500 NOK.
Some staff and volunteers may get a price reduction. More information to come.
International groups can attend the jamboree either as a single group or as part of a contingent. Some countries choose to attend as contingents to make organizing large numbers of participants easier, but it is not mandatory to attend our jamboree.
The Norwegian Scouts mirror the United Nations sustainable goals. The camp will focus on three of the goals:
10: Reduced inequalities
12: Responsible consumption and production
17: Partnership for the goals.
Sustainability is a natural part in every step of the planning, execution and final work connected to the camp. In the words of Lord Baden Powell: “try to leave the world a little better than you found it.” The goal of the jamboree is therefore that we should work together towards a better future.
We recommend travel by train from Oslo Central Station to Gjøvik Station. It’s about a 2 hour travel north and tickets can be booked through Vy.
The closest airport to Gjøvik is Oslo Airport (OSL). From there, you can use either Vy or the Airport Express Train (Flytoget) to Oslo Central Station. From there you can travel by train to Gjøvik.
You can also get there by car. Follow National Road 4 (Rv 4) north from Oslo or south from Lillehammer. The address is Vestre Toten veg 513, 2817 Gjøvik. Please note that there are limited parking.
We are working to find solutions to make sure everyone can get from the train and bus to the camp smoothly. More information to come!
Of course you will have to bring your traditional jamboree equipment! A packing list suggestion for international groups and participants will be sent out.
There are lots to do! Getting around is easy. All public transportation itineraries can be found in the app Entur. We recommend arriving Norway early to explore the bustling city of Oslo, the Olympic activities at Lillehammer or maybe explore the mountains while taking the Bergen Railway Line!

We love to hear that! Information about international staff is being prepared. Staff-signup is at the same time as the ordinary registration, and opens in the new year.
Full time staff can apply to the different departments: administration, safety, food, hike, communication, program, rover, service, and plaza.
